Caroline L. Diehl, age 90, of Bryan, Ohio, went home to be with her Lord at 7:34 P.M. on Friday, April 6, 2018, at Genesis HealthCare-Bryan Center after an extended illness. Mrs. Diehl was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, and a beloved pastor’s wife. She attended Wesley United Methodist Church.
Caroline L. Diehl was born on September 10, 1927, in Boone, Iowa, the daughter of H.E. and Carrie (Matre) Lee. She married Theron L. Diehl on August 19, 1948, in Norfolk, Nebraska, and he survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband are one son, Reverend Stanley T. Diehl, of Taneytown, Maryland; one daughter, Trudy L. (Calvin) Fulton, of Thompson Station, Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Heidi (Tate) VanScoyoc, Christopher (Jennifer) Diehl, Heather Biggus, Ruth Anne Fracassi, Kari (Jared) Thompson, Scott (Brianne) Fulton, and Mark (Vivian) Fulton; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Marilyn Patric, of Leonard, Texas, and Mable Meyer, of Norfolk, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, E.H. and Margaret Lee; a sister, Elaine Decker; and a daughter-in-law, Anita Diehl.
In keeping with Caroline’s wishes, private family services will be held with interment in Brown Cemetery.
Memorials are requested to Wesley United Methodist Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
