Carolyn Brown, 77

Carolyn R. Brown, 77, died Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at her home.

She was born on May 14, 1936 in Paulding County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Worth and Vera (Vorndran) Brown.

Carolyn was a 1953 graduate of Defiance High School.

On July 11, 1953, she was united in marriage to Norman L. Brown and he died on March 29, 2013.

She had worked at Campbell Soup.

Carolyn is survived by two sons- Jerry (Denise) Brown of Cecil, Ohio, Ricky (Jane) Brown of Warsaw, Indiana; a daughter Beckye (Dave deceased) Pruitt of Kitty Hawk, North Carolina; seven grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; siblings Lucile Culler, Mary Moore, Millie Elston, Dan Brown, Junior Brown, Sally Salisbury, Jim Brown, Linda Gearhart and Barb Elson, and her beloved dog Pickles. She was preceded in death by her husband Norman; a son Norman; brothers Roger and Mark Brown and a sister Phillis Brown.

Funeral services for Carolyn will be Friday at 1:00 at Smith & Brown Funeral Home, Hicksville, Ohio. Reverend Bob Bibbee will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00-8:00 and Friday from 11:00-1:00.

Burial will be in Sherwood Cemetery, Sherwood, Ohio.
