Carrie Sheets, 94

Carrie D. Sheets, 94 years, of Toledo, Ohio, went to be with her heavenly father on Monday, October 20, 2014.

Carrie was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was a fabulous seamstress and especially enjoyed making clothes for her grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends.

Carrie was born April 21, 1920 in Leipsic, Oh to Oren D. & Ethel M. (Mosher) Sheets. She married Raymond R. Sheets on November 15, 1939 in Toledo, Oh. He preceded her in death on August 31, 1963.

Carrie enjoyed many crafts and cooking but most importantly she liked spending time with family and friends. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church on S. Erie St. for close to 70 years.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret Rabara; 2 sisters, Martha and Pauline; a brother Paul, son-in-law, Clarence Mitchem and a daughter-in-law Chris Sheets.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving children; Shirley Mitchem, David (Carol) Sheets, Nancy (Paul) Brothers, Larry (Mary Ellen) Sheets, Susan Mills, Jack Sheets, Rick Sheets, Kenny Sheets and Linda Baker. She also leaves 28 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00pm Friday October 24,2014 at St John’s Lutheran Church 708 S. Erie Toledo Ohio with Pastor Cheryl Wessel officiating. Friends may call at the Church from 11:00am until the time of service. The Family request that memorial contributions be made to St John’s Church. Grisier Funeral Home in Delta has been entrusted with arrangements.
