More Firemen For Defiance

The Defiance City Council okays a three-year federal grant will allow the hiring of six firefighters on the Defiance Fire Department. There are concerns on how to pay for the officers once the grant funds are exhausted. The decision expands the number of allotted firefighters from 15 to 21.
