Catherine Roth, 86

Catherine L. “Lucille” Roth, age 86, of Wauseon passed away early Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Fairlawn Haven in Archbold. She had been a lifelong Homemaker.

Mrs. Roth was born in Pettisville, Ohio on September 18, 1928 the daughter of the late Phillip and the late Elizabeth (Stoll) Hess. On April 24, 1949 she married Arden Roth and he preceded her in death in 2004. Mrs. Roth was an active member of the Crossroads Evangelical Church in Wauseon where she served many years on the library committee. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who not only cherished the time she spent with her family but also loved caring for them.

Surviving is daughter; Cathy (Keith) Beaverson of Wauseon, sons; Andy (Marleen) of Wauseon, Phil (Jill) of Silver Lake, Ohio, Joe (Linda) of Wauseon and Max of Vernor, Ontario. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and brother Paul (Phyllis) Hess of Greenville, SC. Preceding her in death besides her husband, Arden, was grandson, Steve Beaverson; sister, Betty Ries; and brothers, Jake and Harmon Hess.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, October 6, 2014 at Crossroads Evangelical Church in Wauseon with Pastor Matt Boyers and Pastor Tyler Quillet officiating. Friends may call at Crossroads Evangelical Church on Sunday from 2:00-6:00 pm. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to either Crossroads Evangelical Church or Fairlawn Haven Care Center.
