Cedar Point opens for the season this Saturday with a new roller coaster, the park’s first floorless roller coaster, utilizing the track of the former Mantis roller coaster, towering 14 stories above the midway. The new coaster will flip riders upside down at up to 60 miles per hour, while their feet are left dangling. Also new this year at Cedar Point, Hotel Breakers featuring improvements such as a new exterior, newly refurnished rooms, a Starbucks, Surf Lounge, and other new offerings. Other changes are the addition of the Sweet Spot candy shop, Quaker Steak & Lube restaurant, the Lakeside Pavilion for large groups. Visitors also will find some classic rides have been moved to different locations, as well as several new shows and performances throughout different venues in the park. Cedar Point opens this weekend.
