Changes being considered for 2017 Williams County Fair

The Williams County Agricultural Society (Fair Board) is considering changes to its parking and security arrangements, and set a tentative schedule for the 2017 fair’s evening entertainment at its regular monthly meeting Thursday. The board also agreed to continue with its $2 Tuesdays (to be held Sept. 12 in 2017) special entry price at next year’s Williams County Fair, which will be Sept. 9-16. Board member and parking committee member Al Bennett said he’s working with the county engineer’s office to make upgrades to the road on the east side of the track. He said plans are to use that road to route cars from the East Main Street fair entrance to the bridge and on to the north side parking area, rather than loop traffic around the east side parking lot.
