Charles Welsh, 94

Charles W. Welsh, 94, of Montpelier, passed away March 23, 2013 at Hillside Country Living near Bryan. He was born on June 22, 1919 in Toledo, Ohio, to the late John and Bessie (Dixon) Welsh. Charles honorably served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. He worked for The City of Toledo as a sanitation worker until his retirement after 30 years of devoted service. Charles was a long time member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Montpelier.

In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his loving wife, Violet R. Welsh and his brother, John Welsh. He leaves behind two children Dan (Bonita) Welsh of Angola, IN and Judy Koester of Toledo, OH, five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, sister Jackie Pruzzo, sister-in-law, Dorothy Welsh of Toledo, and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

A memorial service will be held on Friday April 12, 2013 at 6:00 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Father Jim Halleron will be officiating the service. Donations may be made in Charles’ memory to the Williams County Veterans Memorial Building.
