Chase Begins After Angola Robbery, Ends With Hostage Standoff

A man sus­pected of a rob­bery in Angola, fled to Michi­gan, where he took a per­son hostage inside an adult nov­elty store near Cold­wa­ter.

Law enforce­ment offi­cers say the sus­pect was taken into cus­tody in Michi­gan fol­low­ing a stand­off there at the Lion’s Den Adult Super­store. Nobody was hurt in the inci­dent, which accord­ing to police began when the guy robbed an Angola drug­store, then took off with police chas­ing him. That chase ended 25 miles away, just off Inter­state 69.
