Clayton Ray Middaugh, 84 years, of Hicksville, passed away Friday, July 31, 2020 in his home. Clayton was born December 8, 1935 in Hicksville, the son of the late Ray and Bertha (Sprow) Middaugh. He was a 1955 graduate of Hicksville High School. On November 16, 1958, Clayton was united in marriage to Marlene Stough and she survives. Clayton served our country in the United States Army from 1958 to 1960. He was a farmer all of his life, but also worked as a painter at Spangler Candy Company in Bryan, Ohio for over twenty years. Clayton was a member of the Tri-state Tractor Club and always had a love for John Deere tractors.
Clayton is survived by his wife, Marlene; sons, Terry (Randi) Middaugh of Butler, Indiana, DeWayne (Tina) Middaugh of Waterloo, Indiana; grandchildren, Teri Lynn (Nick) Kern, Jaime (Nic) Kees, Kelsey Middaugh, Nichelle Middaugh; great grandchildren, Trestan, Aliyah, Colston, Parker, Ryker; and a brother, Thurman (Carrol) Middaugh.
A graveside service for Clayton will be held Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at 12:30 p.m. in Six Corners Cemetery. We ask that those planning on attending the service wear a mask and practice social distancing. Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, Hicksville Chapel.
