Clifford “Cliff” Leroy Reynolds, 84

Clifford “Cliff” Leroy Reynolds, 84 years, formerly of Hicksville, Ohio went to his heavenly home with the Lord, Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Blue Creek Healthcare, Whitehouse, Ohio, surrounded by his family. Cliff was born July 6, 1936 in Canton, Ohio, the son of the late Rev. Melvin Fred and Hazel Grace (Lupton) Reynolds. He was a 1955 graduate of Mason High School, Mason, Ohio. Cliff married Bette Lou Gibbs on November 26, 1959 in New Philadelphia, Ohio, and she survives. He worked as a telecommunication technician at Verizon, formerly GTE, for 33 years, retiring in 1999. Cliff honorably served in the Air Force Reserve. Along with his wife, Bette, Cliff was a member of Gracepoint Church of the Nazarene, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Cliff was a member of the IBEW Local 723-Fort Wayne, Indiana, and an assistant scout master in Fort Wayne. In his free time, he enjoyed reading, collecting model trains, developing his own film, and spending time at the farm. Cliff especially cherished his time talking on the phone with his family and friends.

Surviving is his wife of 61 years, Bette Reynolds of Hicksville, Ohio; three daughters, Deb Farlow of Hicksville, Ohio, Cynthia (Kevin) Buhr of Woodburn, Indiana, and Mary Roberts of Magnolia, Ohio; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Cliff was preceded in death by his parents, and son-in-law, Thomas Roberts.

To honor Cliff’s wishes, the family will hold a private family service. Interment will take place in his family cemetery plot in Sherman Cemetery, Sherman, New York.  Arrangements are in care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 706 North Main Street, Hicksville.
