Clifford Gene Green, age 86, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 8:40 A.M. on Friday, October 13, 2017, at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Bryan, where he was a patient. Mr. Green was a 1951 graduate of a Edgerton High School and a veteran of the United States Marines. He retired from Bard Manufacturing in Bryan and attended Grace Community Church. He was also an avid fisherman, enjoying his fishing trips in Canada, raced pigeons and was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Clifford Gene Green was born on July 29, 1931, in Edgerton, Ohio, the son of Milford M. and Edith (Krontz) Green. He is survived by one daughter, Teresa A. Alpaugh, of Liberty, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Kristine Pauken, of Monclova, Ohio, Melanie (Ryan) Gotshall, of Liberty, North Carolina, and Chad Alpaugh, of Gainesville, Florida; three great-grandchildren, Ava and Chase Gotshall and Sarah Pauken; and his sister-in-law, Cathy Green, of Bryan. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Nick Green; and two brothers, Jim and Tommy Green.
A memorial service celebrating the life of Clifford Gene Green will be held on Friday, October 20, 2017, at 11:00 A.M. at Grace Community Church in Bryan with Pastor Sam Byroads officiating. Interment will follow at 1:30 P.M. on Friday, October 20, 2017, in Maple Grove Cemetery in Edgerton with grave side military rites conducted by Bryan VFW Post #2489 and the United State Marine Honor Guard.
