A lightning strike is being blamed for a power outage in Coldwater yesterday morning. Parts of the west side of the city remained in the dark as the sun came up following the strike that occurred around 4:45am as part of a system of thunderstorms that rolled through the area. Utility crews found three transformers that had been knocked out and worked quickly to restore power to area residents and business shortly before lunchtime.
