CONTINENTAL COUNCIL MEETING RESULTS

Con­ti­nen­tal Vil­lage Coun­cil met on Tues­day night and agreed to pay for elec­tri­cal work and equip­ment at the addi­tion to the vil­lage main­te­nance build­ing. Coun­cil granted two build­ing per­mits to Ace Hard­ware and Leslie Bear.

Coun­cil also talked over the avail­abil­ity of $92,000 in CDBG grants for all of Put­nam County, from which the vil­lage would like to obtain funds to tear down sev­eral dilap­i­dated houses; and work done on the alley located north of Ryley’s Ice Cream. They also learned that The Con­ti­nen­tal Fire Depart­ment received $1,000 in a grant from the Cooper Fam­ily Foundation.
