Crash On 127

Three juveniles are injured, one seriously, in a two-vehicle crash that takes down a large power line on U.S. 127 at Buckskin Road, two miles north of Sherwood. The three females…all aged 16…were taken to ProMedica Defiance Regional Hospital. The three were in a minivan…stopped at the intersection. That’s when the driver pulled out…into the path of a big rig. After impact…the van slams into a power pole. It snaps off and lands on the minivan…with live wires draped over the wreckage. The roadway is closed for a time…as power crews fix the pole…while a hazmat team cleans up spilled diesel fuel at the scene.
