Crash On 20

A car and an SUV collide on Highway 20, near the intersection with CR 500 west, in rural Steuben County…pinning one of the drivers in his car for a short time. Officials tell reporters Jamie Cassabon of Angola was eastbound on 20, near the county airport, when he pulled into the westbound lane to go around a trash truck that was stopped. His SUV collides with a car driven by Orlando Mendez, of Angola. Mendez’ car careens off the road…into a ditch. He had to be cut out of the wreck and was taken to a Fort Wayne hospital for treatment. Investigators say dense fog is a factor in the accident.
