Dive crews searched Washington’s Potomac River all night for any survivors after an American Airlines passenger jet collided with a U-S Army Blackhawk helicopter near Reagan National Airport. American says there were 60 passengers and four crew members on flight 5-3-4-2 from Wichita, Kansas. The Pentagon says the chopper was on a training flight with three soldiers on board, but no senior members of the U-S military. With so many near misses over the last year at other airports, Investigators want to know why those two flights were even allowed to fly that close, especially over the single busiest strip of air traffic in the U-S.
