Dale H. Osmun of Bryan, Ohio and formerly of Hicksville, passed away Monday, May 16, 2022, at his residence. Dale was born November 8, 1962, in Bryan, Ohio, the son of the late Richard Dale and Donna Marie (Madden) Osmun. He was a 1982 graduate of Woodlan High School. Dale worked as a welder at Nucor for over 25 years retiring in 2008. He recently worked at YanFeng Automotive. Dale had a passion for racing and raced late model cars. When he wasn’t racing, he could be found tinkering in the garage, welding, or building trailers. He recently took interest in collecting antique tractors.
Surviving are six children, Shanna (Chris) Kammer of New Haven, Indiana, Darren (Jamie) Osmun of Delta, Ohio, Dylan (Rachael) Osmun of Mark Center, Ohio, Dara (Kent) Brown of Auburn, Indiana, Delaney (Jeff) Stark of Mark Center, Ohio, and Drake Osmun of Hicksville, Ohio; 14 grandchildren, Sydney, Royce, Rhiley, Aleah, Bentley, Baby Osmun, Bradley, Coleton, Conner, Carter, Cady, Emmett, Jarvis, and Kendyl. Dale was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Royce Osmun.
Visitation for Dale will be held Saturday, May 21, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon at Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 706 North Main Street, Hicksville with services beginning at 12:00 noon in the funeral home with Celebrant Patricia Peter officiating. Interment will follow in Scipio Cemetery, Harlan, Indiana.
