Dale H. Huffman, age 71, of Bryan passed away early Saturday May 10, 2014 at the Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Care Center.
Dale was born on June 9, 1942 in Bryan, Ohio to Herbert and Donna (Chrisman) Huffman. He married Jerra Mae Marshall on November 30, 1963 and she preceded him in death on November 1, 2011.
Dale was a 1961 graduate of Bryan High School. He attended the Hobart School of Welding in Troy, Ohio. He worked as a fabricator for Fox Brothers Mfg. and was a Maintenance Supervisor or Rich Products in Delaware and Hillard, Ohio from where he retired. Before and after retirement he was a well known fabricator and a man of many talents. His passion was farming, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his daughters, Jane Huffman and Wendy (Joseph) Garza, 3 grandchildren; Cassandra Martin, Lance Cpl. Stuart (Bralyn) Martin, and Wyatt Garza. Also surviving is sister; Barbara Perkins, sister-in-law; Judith Yahraus, 3 nieces and 3 nephews. Preceding him in death was his wife; Jerra Mae, his parents and brothers-in-law; Louys Perkins and William “Bill” Yahraus.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Wednesday May 14, 2014 at the First Church of Christ in Bryan with Pastor Larry Snavley officiating. Interment will follow in the Evansport Cemetery. Friends may call at the Grisier Funeral Home in Stryker from 2:00-8:00pm on Tuesday. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to either the Defiance Area Inpatient Care Center or the Cleveland Clinic Leukemia Center.
