Daniel W. Ainsworth Sr., 90 years, of Defiance, Ohio, passed away Friday, October 23, 2015, in Genesis Healthcare, Twin Rivers Center. Daniel was born on September 22, 1925 in Holloway, Ohio, the son of the late Daniel Gilbert and Rose Anna (Muri) Ainsworth. He worked as a furnace chief for Johns Manville Corporation for 40 years until his retirement in 1992. Daniel enjoyed spending time fishing on Lake Erie with is son and his fishing buddies. He also enjoyed playing his guitar whenever he had the opportunity.
Surviving is his son, Daniel (Pam) Ainsworth of Sherwood, Ohio; two grandchildren, Meagan (Gary) Taylor of Defiance, Ohio and Daniel W. Ainsworth III of Sherwood, Ohio; two great grandchildren, Jackson Taylor and Liam Taylor; one sister, Stella Scott of Bannock, Ohio. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles, Gilbert and Bill Ainsworth.
There will not be any visitation and services will be private. Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 230 East Elm Street, Sherwood, Ohio.
