Darrell E. Bowers, age 80, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 8:15 P.M. on Friday, February 2, 2018, at Heartland of Wauseon Nursing Home in Wauseon, Ohio, after an extended illness. Mr. Bowers was a graduate of Hilltop High School and had been employed at Trim Trends, The 50 Corporation and Challenge Cook Brothers throughout the years. He was a true sports nut and loved watching all kinds, especially The Ohio State Buckeyes and Detroit Red Wings. He was also a World War II buff and enjoyed woodworking.
Darrell E. Bowers was born on September 13, 1937, in West Unity, Ohio, the son of Harley and Esther (Johantgen) Bowers.
He survived by one daughter, Kila (Cliff) Wineland, of Bryan; two grandchildren, Jess R. Wineland, of Bryan, and Samuel (Cassie) Wineland, of Norwalk, Ohio; four great-grandchildren, Zoah, Zandon, Aiden and Arya Wineland; one sister, Mary Teeter, of Morenci, Michigan; and one brother, Brent Bowers, of West Unity. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, from 2:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. There will be no services and private interment will take place in Shiffler Cemetery near Bryan.
