Darrell H. Hutchison, age 82, of Reading, Michigan, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Northside Hospital-Cherokee in Canton, Georgia following a brief illness. Darrell was a barber in Edgerton for many years and owned Hutchison’s Mobile Home Park. He retired from Bard Manufacturing in Bryan. Darrell was a US Army veteran having served during the Korean War. He was a member of the Edgerton Church of Christ and attended North Reading Baptist Church after moving to the Reading area. He had been a member of the Edgerton Masonic Lodge and Rotary club.
Darrell H. Hutchison was born September 18, 1934 in West Unity, Ohio, the son of Earl and Naomi (Brown) Hutchison. He married Lois E. Luthy in Edgerton on May 22, 1954 and she survives.
Darrell is also survived by his children, Kirk (Dianne) Hutchison, of Brecksville, Ohio, Gaylene (Ken) Hoffman, of Auburn, Indiana and Kerrick (Kathy) Hutchison, of Lambertville, Michigan; six grandchildren, Jarrod Hoffman, Andrew (Rachel) Hoffman, Hannah Hutchison, Connor Hutchison, Faith Hutchison and Natiya Hoffman and three great grandchildren, Jai’Sean Miles, Alana Hoffman and Grayson Hoffman. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Barbara Richards and brother, Donald Hutchison.
Funeral services for Darrell will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the Edgerton Church of Christ with Pastors Doug Routledge and Jeff Brookins officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Krill Funeral Service, 114 East Hull Street, Edgerton has been entrusted with his arrangements.
