David A. Dove, 66

David Allen Dove, 66, of Hamilton, Indiana passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana with his family at his side. David was born November 3, 1957, in Montpelier, Ohio, son of the late Arthur and Esther (Young) Dove. He was a proud graduate of Eastside High School, Butler, Indiana. David married his life partner, Loranne Renee “Lori” Harger on August 18, 1978, in Hamilton, Indiana. Together they raise their three beautiful daughters, attending school events and sporting events of all kinds. David was a longtime employee of Harger’s Meats, where he won numerous state and national awards for his smoked hams, sausages, and salami. He was currently employed at Pettisville Meats in Butler, Indiana. David loved his home on the lake in the country and took great pride in caring for his massive yard and abundant garden. He enjoyed all Purdue sports and proudly displayed his Purdue flag. Most of all he loved spending time with his six grandchildren who called him “P.”

David is survived by his loving wife, Loranne Harger Dove of Hamilton, Indiana; two daughters, Andrea Marie (Adam) Clemons of Spencerville, Indiana, and Alyse Allyn (Eric) Moore of LaGrange, Indiana; son-in-law, Jim Stuckey; six grandchildren, Jackson Stuckey, Delaney Stuckey, Jacob Clemons, Chance Timothy Stuckey, Nora Clemons, Coye Moore; siblings, Larry Dove of Butler, Indiana, Deanna Dove of Auburn, Indiana, Gary Dove of Butler Indiana, and Jim Dove of Butler, Indiana. Preceding David in death are his parents; daughter, Amber Renee Dove Stuckey; brother, Daryl Dove.

Visitation for David will be held Thursday, February 8, 2024, from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Pleasant Lake Community Church, 5142 S. Old US Highway 27, Pleasant Lake, Indiana 46779. Funeral Services celebrating David’s life will be held Friday, February 9, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Ryan Kain and Craig Erwin, officiating. Interment will follow at Eddy Cemetery, Hamilton, Indiana. Arrangements are in care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 3985 Church Street, Hamilton, Indiana.
