David L. Balogh, age 76, of Edgerton, Ohio passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Parkview Randallia Hospital in Fort Wayne. David was a US Army veteran who served stateside during the Vietnam War. He worked at several area companies including Simpson Industries, Stark’s Happy Time Pools, NEMCO and Micropulse before retiring from CJ Automotive. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and enjoyed golfing, fishing, gardening and building, but most enjoyed his time being Grandpa.
David Lee Balogh, was born June 23, 1947 in Garrett, Indiana the son of Paul J. and Merilyn R. (Miller) Balogh. He married Debra A. Chaney on November 2, 1974 in Edgerton and she survives.
David is also survived by his sons, Matt (Becky) Balogh, of Hicksville and Trenton (Sam Mosler) Balogh, of Edgerton; daughter, Brianna (Charles Nickells) Balogh, of Edgerton; 9 grandchildren, Blake, Logan, Gabrielle, Savannah, Terrell, Baleigh, Rylan and Lincoln and his siblings, Paula Balogh, Donald (Kathy) Balogh and Cynthia (Ron) Leppelmeier, all of Edgerton, Karen (Keith) Muehlfeld, of Florida, Kathe (Rick) Stotz, of Edgerton, Joe (Diane) Balogh, of Mansfield and John (Jill) Balogh, of Raleigh, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Christopher Balogh and granddaughter, Analee Balogh.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 18, 2023 from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at Krill Funeral Home, 114 East Hull Street, Edgerton with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Reverend Daniel Borgelt officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Edgerton with graveside military rites.
