David L. Byers, age 75, of Butler and a long time resident of Fort Wayne, passed away on July 7, 2017, at the Laurels of DeKalb in Butler. David worked in Quality Control at B.F. Goodrich in Antwerp. He enjoyed water skiing, snowmobiling and was a huge fan and season ticket holder of the Fort Wayne Komets.
David was born on January 24, 1942, in Defiance County, Ohio, the son of John and Lucille (Stuckman) Byers. He was a 1960 graduate of Fairview High School.
David is survived by his sister, Mary Lou (Merlin) Baker, of Bryan. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, James and Larry Byers.
Visitation will be held from 2:00-6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 11, 2017, in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio. He will be buried at Farmer Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Williams County Humane Society.
