David Lynn Lane, 57

David Lynn Lane, age 57, of Stryker, died as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Thursday, October 4, 2018. He had worked at Sauder Woodworking for over 25 years.

David was born in Bowling Green, Ohio on August 5, 1961, the son of Kenneth and Jennie (Weinner) Lane. On March 14, 1998, he married Julie Pollex, and she survives. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served from 1980 – 1986. He loved fishing, hunting, and shooting. He was a big fan of Toledo Walleye Hockey, a movie buff, enjoyed collecting model tanks, WWE Wrestling, but especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving, besides his wife, Julie, are children, Elijah (Krysta) Lane, Nathaniel Lane, Cody Bohner, and Kami (J.J.) Thiel. He is also survived by grandchildren, Noah, Aiden, Dean, Ella, and Dixie; brother, Robert (Doris) Lane; and stepfather, Harold Badertscher. He was preceded in death by both parents; and four brothers, Randy, Richard, John, and Larry.

Visitation for David will be held from 2:00 P.M. Until 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at the Grisier Funeral Home in Stryker. A celebration of David’s life will immediately follow at 7:00 P.M., also in the funeral home, with Pastor Joel Perez, officiating. Military Rites will be accorded by the Stryker American Legion Post #60, directly after the service. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the Wounded Warrior Project.
