David Loring “Chief Crazyhorse” Royster, age 51, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away at 7:01 P.M. on Monday, July 27, 2015, shortly after admittance to Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Bryan. “Pepsi Dave” was known as being charismatic, loving and caring, and had a smile that could light the entire world and a heart that could hold no hate. His deep calming voice will never be forgotten and neither will his gentle demeanor.
David was born on January 17, 1964, in Pensacola, Florida, the son of Booker T. Royster, Sr. and Alberta (Snow) Royster. Survivors include his mother, Alberta Royster, his siblings, Bernadette Royster, Robert E. Royster, Elder Dennis B. (Ethel Mae) Royster, Perry W. (Irma J.) Royster, Wanda Faye Thicklin, Eric (Dawn) Dortch and Kevin Dortch. He also leaves sweet memories with his children, Danielle J. Royster and DiAnna M. Royster, in Colorado, Taylor Royster, Cory Royster, Davontae R. Royster, Zackery T. Shaw and Decota S. Shaw, in Ohio, and his loving companion of eleven years, Jessica Shaw.
He was preceded in death by his father, Booker T. Royster, Sr., his brothers Booker T. Royster, Jr., Frederick Royster and Darryl Royster, and his best friend, Eric Antigo.
David will also be remembered by a host of nieces and nephews, godchildren, his friends and co-workers at TRW, as well as the many people he has encountered over his fifty-one years of life.
Service will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at 6:30 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, with Elder Dennis B. Royster officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service, from 2:00-6:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
