Deadline for dog license is Jan. 31

Dog licenses are due by Jan­u­ary 31st for all of man’s best friends who are older than three months old. Licenses are $16 dol­lars and avail­able at the county dog pound. Own­ers that don’t license their dogs are sub­ject to a fine and pos­si­ble court action if the dog gets out and is picked up. If you dog does get out and has a license, the county will bring the dog back to you. Also, dogs with­out a license who run away are sub­ject to being sold, destroyed or donated to become a ser­vice dog after three days in the pound.
