Many Memorial Day events are scheduled throughout the area this coming holiday weekend. The following is a list of most of those in area counties. Defiance County • Riverview Memory Gardens and Garden Mausoleums, 29231 Defiance County Road 424, will get things started at 10 a.m. Saturday with a ceremony on the north side of the mausoleum chapel. Farmer Cemetery, 9 a.m., Farmer American Legion. • Highland Township Fire Department in Ayersville, 9 a.m., Ayersville Fire Department and AMVETS. A parade will begin at the fire station at 9 a.m. while a ceremony will follow at Ayersville High School’s large gym.
