Defiance Man Leads Police On Wild Chase

A Defiance man lead police on an early morning pursuit through Williams and Defiance counties on Friday.

The highway patrol reports that officers tried to pull over a pickup truck that had been stolen in Bryan.

28 year old Tyler Kunsman was behind the wheel when the truck was involved in a hit-skip accident in Williams Center that happened Friday morning around 5.

The pursuit only lasted about 20 minutes, finally ending at Lockwood and Coy roads in Defiance County’s Delaware Township. Kunsman was taken into custody. Police report that Kunsman was injured by flying glass, so he was taken to ProMedica Defiance Regional Hospital, and then transferred to Toledo Hospital.

The investigation is continuing today.
