A blown transformer turned out the lights for a number of homes and businesses in Defiance on Wednesday.
The transformer malfunctioned around 10:30 yesterday morning on Quality Drive, affecting as many as 500 customers.
Traffic lights in the area were also affected, and city workers rushed in to direct traffic and put up signs.
There were no reports of accidents or anyone getting hurt.
The fire departments and police also assisted with traffic control. All power has since been restored.
