Defiance Weed Business Update

Defiance’s planning commission discussed what to do about medicinal marijuana businesses. Mayor, Mike McCann noted that the city’s zoning code says nothing about medicinal marijuana facilities. He told the commission that it’s the administration’s intention to bring a recommendation to the commission to prohibit them in the code. Officials believe that allowing such businesses is a “direct violation” of the federal law which prohibits marijuana use.
