Delores K. Burdine, age 69, of Defiance, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice after a brief illness. Mrs. Burdine was a member of Defiance Amvets Post #1991 and enjoyed crocheting, ceramics and playing Bingo. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandkids.
Delores K. Burdine was born on October 7, 1947, in Defiance, the daughter of Floyd and Beatrice (Kendall) Brown. She married Johnny A. Burdine, Sr. on July 6, 1977, and he preceded her in death on November 7, 2014.
Survivors include four sons, Johnny A. (Jennifer) Burdine, Jr., of New Bavaria, Ohio, George A. (Chelsea) Brown, Sr., of Montpelier, Ohio, Ricky Brown, Sr., of Bryan, Ohio, and Robert L. (Roxanne) Burdine, of Ayresville, Ohio; one daughter, Patty Rankin, of Sanford, North Carolina; twenty-one grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one brother, Floyd (Laura) Brown, of Defiance. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Ila Boroff; two grandsons, Ricky Brown, Jr., and Robert Burdine, Jr.; and one great-grandson, Maddox Scarboro.
Private interment will held at Riverside Cemetery in Defiance.
The family would like to invite friends and family for a time of food and fellowship beginning at 12 noon on Saturday, June 10, 2017, at 1712 Spruce Street, in Defiance.
Memorials are requested to the family for expenses.
