Dennis L. Stoufer, age 69, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away on Friday, May 18, 2018, at Genesis Healthcare-Bryan Center. He worked for Norfolk & Southern Railroad, owned a paint contracting business and worked in maintenance Fort Myers Beach, Florida. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War from 1968-1970 and was a member of Bryan VFW Post 2489. Dennis was a big Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Indians fan and when he was younger owned a number of muscle cars.
Dennis L. Stoufer was born on December 26, 1948 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the son of Ned C. and Irene I. Stoufer. He graduated from Defiance High School in 1966. He married Linda (Church) Rastetter and she survives in Fort Myers Beach, Florida.
Dennis is survived by his daughters, Jodi (Tyson) Spangler, of Edgerton and Casie (David Marihugh) Phillips, of Bryan; stepchildren, Rick Rastetter, of Fort Myers Beach, Drew Rastetter, of Tampa, Florida, Angie Boyer, of Tampa; granddaughters, Merissa Taylor, of Montpelier, Katlynn Phillips, of Archbold, MacKenzie Spangler and Sadie Walther, both of Edgerton; great granddaughter, Lillian Bell, of Montpelier, his mother, Irene Stoufer, of Bryan and a brother, Dan (Liz) Stoufer, of Sherwood. He was preceded in death by his father, Ned Stoufer and a brother, Doug Stoufer.
Visitation for Dennis will be held on Monday, May 21, 2018 from 1:00-3:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Memorial services will be held immediately following visitation with Pastor J. Mark Holbrook officiating. Military rites will be provided by Bryan VFW Post 2489.
