Department Of Aging Closer To New Vehicles — Now Headed To Ballot

With a tight bud­get and an aging fleet of more than two-dozen vehi­cles, The Williams County Depart­ment of Aging now says it will seek a levy in Novem­ber. The depart­ment has some 25 vehi­cles in its fleet, includ­ing at least a half-dozen that will need to be replaced soon due to high mileage and high main­te­nance costs. The Bryan Times reports that the Williams County Com­mis­sion­ers have unan­i­mously approved a request by the County Depart­ment of Aging to place a new, five-year, half-mill mill levy on the Novem­ber bal­lot to address the issue.
