Published reports this morning say that Diversified Machine in Edon is closing it’s doors for good.
According to the Bryan Times, employees of the Edon plant were told that due to economic conditions the company is closing the plant in February 2014. The first jobs eliminated will be in July, and most others will be cut by the end of the year.
According to the company’s website, Diversified Machine makes chassis and powertrain componants for the automotive industry.
Diversified Machine acquired the plant from Metaldyne in 2009.
