Dolores Emma Dangler, age 89, of Edgerton passed away Friday, July 19, 2024 with her family at her side at Vancrest of Hicksville. Dolores worked in cabinet assembly at Fleetwood for 25 years. After retirement, she enjoyed babysitting many children for several years. She was musically talented. She started as the church organist for St. Mary Catholic Church when she at age 14 and served the church for over 70 ½ years. Dolores was also a member of the Rosary Alter Society and church choir. She also sang with the community choir and the Sweet Adelines for 25 years.
Dolores was born on June 20, 1935 in Melbern, Ohio, the daughter of Lionel and Mabel (Fritch) Thiel. She is survived by her children, Darlene (Rick) Kimpel, of Hicksville, Dawn (Robert) Brown, of Bryan, DeAnn (Jim) Hornaday, of Edgerton, Deborah (Mitch) Blotkamp, of Avilla, Indiana, Douglas (Becky) Dangler, of Gastonia, North Carolina and Denise (Bob) Knecht, of Edgerton; 21 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren and sister-in-law, Barb Thiel, of Edgerton. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, DeLoss Dangler, Jr. and brothers, Cletus (Margaret) Thiel, Cloard (Nira) Thiel and Darrell Thiel.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 from 2:00-7:00 P.M. at Krill Funeral Home, 114 East Hull Street, Edgerton, Ohio. Recitation of the Rosary will begin at 7:00 P.M. Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 317 South Locust Street, Edgerton, Ohio with Reverend Daniel Borgelt officiating. Burial at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery will immediately follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial donations to St. Mary Catholic Church or St. Mary Catholic School.
