Donald D. Curry, age 93, of Edon, Ohio, passed away at 7:45 A.M. on Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at Genesis HealthCare-Bryan Center after a brief illness. Mr. Curry was a farmer and lifelong resident of Edon.
Donald D. Curry was born on October 5, 1923, near Edon, the son of Alfred G. and Clela E. (Rockey) Curry. He married Dorothy J. Dotts on July 14, 1945, in Angola, Indiana, and she preceded him in death on March 4, 2014.
Survivors include his children, Becky (Dale) Kunkel, of Montpelier, Ohio, Penny (Ron) Held, of Bryan, Ohio, Wendy (Dennis) Oberlin, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, David (Patti) Curry, of Edon, Kathy (Tim) Westhoven, of Bowling Green, Ohio, Lyle (Barb) Curry, of Edon, and Sally (Tim) Walters, of Cibolo, Texas; sixteen grandchildren; and twenty-six great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Weaver; two infant brothers, Raymond and Walter; and one brother, Marion Curry.
Services will be held on Monday, April 3, 2017, at 11:00 A.M. in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Edon, with Pastor Roger Marlow officiating. Interment will follow in Edon Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 2, 2017, from 1:00-3:00 P.M. at Krill Funeral Home, 204 West Indiana Street, Edon, and one hour prior to the service in the church on Monday.
