Donald F. Youngker, 83 years, of Sherwood, passed away Friday, August 28, 2020, at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice Center, Defiance. Donald was born November 11, 1936, in Defiance, Ohio, the son of the late Francis D. and Ella (Little) Youngker. Donald served in the United States Army from 1956-1958. He married Dolores J. Van Pelt on November 13, and she survives. Donald was a Police Officer for the City of Defiance for 13 years. He also worked at Maumee Valley Vending, Johns Manville and Coca-Cola Company. He enjoyed finding John Deere Tractors and restoring them to their glory.
Surviving is his wife Dolores of Sherwood; two sons, Dave (Lisa) Youngker of Ayersville and Gary (Cindy) Youngker of Defiance; three stepchildren, George “Skip” Waxler of Defiance, Sandra (Steve) Black of Defiance and Steve (Ginna) Waxler of Defiance; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Marion (Donna) Youngker of Bryan; one sister, Marie. He was preceded in death by his parents, two stepchildren, Karen Waxler and Jeffrey Waxler; one sister, Dean Youngker.
There will be no visitation or services per Donald’s request. Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, Sherwood, Ohio.
