Donald R. Underwood, Sr., 76 years, of Bryan, passed away Monday, May 21, 2018 at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers, Bryan. Donnie was born November 6, 1941 in Bryan, Ohio, the son of the late George Henry and Maxine M. (Beattie) Underwood, Sr. He was a tow-motor operator at Dietrich Industries in Hicksville for 30 years, retiring in 2003. Prior to this Donnie worked for Allied Moulded Products in Bryan. Donnie enjoyed fishing and watching TV, especially the News on WTOL Channel 11.
Surviving are his son, Donnie (Teresa) Underwood, Jr. of Bryan, one daughter, Clarissa Underwood; one grandson; eight brothers, Ronald (Sue) Underwood of Bryan, Harold E. Underwood of Bryan, Darrell A. Underwood of Bryan, Terry W. Underwood of Bryan, Thomas W. Underwood of Bryan, Dennis L. Underwood of Hicksville, Kevin L. (Linda) Underwood of Bryan and Lowell D. Underwood of Bryan; five sisters, Delores Greenwalt of Sherwood, Sandra (Richard) Stickney of Farmer, Helen (Dean) Seiler of Montpelier, Joyce (Michael) Akers of Bryan and Nancy Underwood of Bryan. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, George H. Underwood Jr. and one sister, Karen Bugai.
There will be no visitation and private services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan.
