Dorothy Karen Amaden, age 79, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away early Saturday, November 18, 2017, in her home. Mrs. Ameden graduated from Alameda High School in Alameda, California, received her Bachelors degree from Tri-State University and her Masters degree from Saint Francis College in Fort Wayne, both in psychology. She enjoyed writing poetry, loved to read and crochet and spend time with her family and her beloved cat, Katrina.
Dorothy Karen Amaden was born on November 28, 1937, in Alameda, California, the the daughter of George Benjamin and Thelma (Norris) Clough.
Survivors include one daughter, Melissa (Todd) Mercer, of Camden, Michigan; two sons, Russell (Tasha) Amaden, of Fremont, Indiana and Craig Amaden, of Angola, Indiana; and eight grandchildren.
Private services will be held and interment will take place in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton, Ohio.
Memorials are requested to a humane shelter of the donor’s choice.
