Dorothy M. Leitner, age 92, of Wauseon, passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018, at Fulton Manor in Wauseon. Prior to her retirement she had been a beautician for many years and along with serving as the secretary for the Fulton County Senior Center she was also a caregiver for her grandchildren.
Dorothy was born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania on July 8, 1926, the daughter of James and Anna (Eutsey) Rauch. On February 2, 1946, she married Lowell E. Leitner, and he preceded her in death in 1993. Dorothy attended the First Church of God in Wauseon. She enjoyed traveling as well as spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving is her daughter, Dee (Steve) Jackson of Wauseon; grandchildren, Jana (Keith) Leininger, Abby (Clint) Steigerwalt and Jeffrey (April) Jackson. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Ty, Olivia and Grace Leininger, Mackenzie and Brogan Steigerwalt, and Parker, Logan and Brigg Jackson. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and two brothers, James (Pauline) Rauch and LaMont Rauch.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at Zion Cemetery, on Fulton County Road 11, with Pastor Ben Sheaffer, officiating. Visitation will be private.
