Dorothy Mae Brust, 88 years, of Bryan passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice Center, Defiance. Dorothy was born February 5, 1932 in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, the daughter of the late Eugene and Lulu (Boyden) Dedie. She married Leo “Roy” Brust on February 2, 1952 in Shepherd, Michigan and he preceded her in death on December 27, 2012. Dorothy was a caring and loving mother. She always made sure everyone, and everything was taken care of at the house. She especially cherished her time at family activities and spending time on the family farm. Dorothy was a member of New Hope Community Church and Bryan Eagles Aerie 2233.
Surviving are four daughters, Jeanie (Henry) Lange of Bryan, Cheryl (Bob) Coopman of Bryan, Judy (Don Bingman) Hageman of Bryan and Ronda (Chris) Thompson of Gresham, Oregon; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and two great-greatgrandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth Decker, Alice Dobias and Jean Dowling and one brother, Jack Dedie.
Graveside services for Dorothy Mae Brust will be held Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Riverview Memory Gardens Cemetery, Defiance with Pastor Dave Nicholls officiating. The family asks those attending the services to wear facial masks and coverings and observe social distancing. The family will hold a celebration of life for Dorothy at a later date. Services are in care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan.
