Drug deaths highest in 2014

It’s being called the worst drug epi­demic of our life­times. The Ohio Depart­ment of Health has released num­bers for 2014, show­ing it was one of the dead­liest years in the state for unin­ten­tional drug over­doses lead­ing to death. The 2015 data has not been released. The new num­bers show in 2014, 2,482 peo­ple died of over­doses, up 17% from the year before. Locally, there were 21 over­dose deaths in the six county area in 2014.
