The Edgerton school board votes unanimously for starting a drug-testing policy for the student body. The testing will be for student-athletes, students participating in other extra-curricular activities, drivers and any student who volunteers to be tested. Board members ultimately decided to only test randomly. A refusal to take a drug test will be treated as a positive. A student who tests positive will then be tested weekly and participate in a five-week drug counseling program. The family will be responsible for the expense…not the school.
