Earl F. Bell Sr., 92, of Hicksville, Ohio, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Park View Care Center, Edgerton, Ohio.  Earl was born December 17, 1931, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, son of late Clyde E. and Violet M. (Heart) Bell.  He attended Cromwell High School in Noble County, Indiana.  Earl married Helen L. Myers on June 30, 1951, and together they enjoyed 61 years of marriage until her passing on February 27, 2012.  He worked for Universal Tool in Butler, Indiana, as a truck driver and in the shipping department.  Earl was a member of the Hicksville First Church of Christ.  He enjoyed gambling, cigars, and spending time with his little dog, Emmy Lou, and his family.  Earl will be remembered for his big personality, and for being a friend to everyone he came in contact with.

He is survived by his five children, Pam (Jerry) Trim of Hicksville, Lou (Bill) Knight of Hicksville, Roxann (Gary) Henderson of Hicksville, Earl Bell Jr. of Butler, and Patrick Bell of Hicksville; 17 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.  Earl was preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife, Helen; a granddaughter, Veronica Trim; a grandson, Bryan Grant; a great-grandson, Brandon Trim; and two sisters, JoAnn and Delores.

Graveside funeral services for Earl F. Bell Sr. will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, June 10, 2024, at Forest Home Cemetery, Hicksville, with Pastor Bob Knapp officiating.  Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home & Crematory, 706 North Main Street, Hicksville, Ohio 43526.

The Bell family wants to extend their appreciation to Park View Care Center and Elara Caring Hospice for their compassionate care for Earl.
