Edgerton set to receive $500,000 as part of Safe Routes to School program.

Edgerton is set to receive $500,000 dollars from the Ohio Department of Transportation…as part of the Safe Routes to School program…to increase the number of sidewalks in the village. ODOT distributed $9.8 million dollars to districts in 25 counties. Edgerton’s amount of $500,000 dollars was the highest amount any district received. Construction for the project will begin on or after July 1, 2025. The village is accepting consultant requests for proposals now until July 31st…and is working with ODOT District 2 on designs and right-of-way acquisition.
