The Edon Village Council met Monday approving a new part-time police officer. Police Chief Tom Szymczak requested approval for a new officer for part-time employment, Octovia Rolf, who recently graduated from the police academy and has several months of full-time experience in Lucas County. Council approved the mayor’s recommendation to appoint Rolf as a part-time officer at $23 per hour, with a six-month probationary period.
