Ethel May Wityk, age 89, of Montpelier and formerly of Stryker passed away late Friday at Evergreen Manor in Montpelier. Prior to her retirement she had worked for Allied Molded and Toggery Dry Cleaners. Ethel was a wonderful, caring mother. She and her daughter, Cindy had a special bond and shared the same birthday. She will sadly be missed by her family and many friends.
Mrs. Wityk was born on December 5, 1927 in Archbold, Ohio the daughter of the late Charles and the late Viola (Brodbeck) Stevens. On September 17, 1947 she married Ted Wityk and he preceded her in death in 1999. She always wore a smile and loved meeting new people.
Surviving are children; Cindy from Montpelier and Rick from Stryker. Also surviving are grandchildren Chris and Jonathen Wityk, and great-grandchildren; Christopher, Morgan, Lauren Wityk, and Vanessa and Aaliyah Morino. A sister; Carabelle Sobieck also survives.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday March 23, 2017 at the Fountain Grove Cemetery in Bryan. In lieu of flowers, any contributions can be made to the Williams county humane society. The Grisier Funeral Home in Stryker has been entrusted with arrangements.
