Evelyn Wingard, age 101, of Bryan, died at 5:24 A.M. on Monday, March 19, 2018, at Genesis Healthcare-Bryan Center, where she was a resident. Evelyn graduated from Montpelier High School in 1934 and International Business College in 1935. She retired as a billing clerk from General Motors Acceptance Company. Evelyn was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Bryan and enjoyed traveling and shopping.
Evelyn was born on February 18, 1917, in Williams County, the daughter of Herman and Alta (Milliron) Cummins. She married O. Kenneth Wingard on January 5, 1967, in Montpelier and he preceded her in death in 1983.
Survivors include cousins, Jim (Beverly) Miller, of Montpelier, Carol Heaney, of Sylvania and Lois Ann Connolly, of Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, step daughter, Janie Rupp and cousins, Bonnie & W.B. Fischer and Helen Wilson.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 23, 2018, from 10:00 -11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio. Services will follow at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, with Reverend Barry Sweet officiating. Private burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Montpelier, Ohio.
